Privacy & your data
This page explains exactly what we collect when you check your subsidy or ask for a callback, who we give it to, and how to tell us to stop.

Who we are
SuryaSetu is a lead-generation partner for government-empanelled rooftop solar installers. We are not a government body, we are not part of the PM Surya Ghar scheme, and we do not install anything ourselves. We introduce you to an installer and step out of the way.
What we collect
- Your name and mobile number — so an installer can call you.
- Your pincode, and if you give it, your street address and landmark, plus your rough monthly electricity bill and whether you own the house. This is what decides which system size and subsidy you qualify for.
- The date and time you submitted the form, your IP address and browser — kept only as proof of when you gave consent.
We never ask for your Aadhaar number, bank details, PAN or any payment information. Nobody from SuryaSetu will ever ask you for these on a call. If someone does, it is not us.
Why we collect it
For one purpose only: to work out what rooftop solar would cost you under PM Surya Ghar, and to pass your details to one empanelled installer near you so they can quote for the work. We do not use your details for anything else.
Who we share it with
Your details go to exactly one installer — the one who takes your enquiry first — and to nobody else.
- One lead goes to one installer. You will not be called by five companies because of us.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone, ever. Installers pay us only after an installation is completed, never for your contact details.
- Nothing is shared until you have said yes — either on the form, or out loud on a call with our team.
Your consent
We only share your details after you agree to it. Our advisor will call you, explain what you qualify for, and ask for that permission on the call. Until you give it, your details stay with us and no installer can see them.
You can withdraw that permission at any time by calling or messaging the number below. We will stop sharing your details immediately, and you can ask us not to call again.
Your rights
- Ask us what details we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your details entirely.
- Raise a complaint with us first. If we do not resolve it, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry while an installer is still working on it, and for up to two years afterwards so we can settle payments and answer questions about the job. If you ask us to delete it, we do that sooner, keeping only what the law requires us to.
How we protect it
Your details are stored on an access-controlled server. Only our own staff and the one installer handling your enquiry can see them. Installers only see your contact details after they take your enquiry — never before.
